Applications to burn are available on our website under Forms and in our office. A burn application must be filled out and approved by the Zoning Administrator before you will get a permit number. Once you have that number you MUST call Dispatch at 989-831-5253 to get final approval. Once that original form is on file, you can be issued a permit number good for 4 days at a time. You may call or come in to get a new permit number each time you need to burn. Please see Regulatory Ordinances, Chapter 9, Section 8 – Open Burning for additional information.
You do NOT need a burn permit if burning in a fire pit or burning barrel with a grate or cover. If you have any questions, please contact Eureka Charter Township and ask to speak with the Zoning Administrator.

EUREKA TOWNSHIP has prepared a draft Five Year Parks and Recreation Plan and invites the public to view the plan.
The draft plan is available for review here or a hard copy is available to view at the Township Hall at 9322 SW Greenville Rd. Greenville, MI 48838.
The Township Board will be considering the adoption of the Five-Year Parks and Recreation Plan at a Public Meeting scheduled for Monday, January 13, 2025, commencing at 7:00 PM at the Eureka Charter Township Hall located at 9322 SW Greenville Rd. Greenville, MI 48838.
All interested persons are invited to submit their comments in writing to the Township office before the meeting, or in person at the meeting.
